Before Your Exam

STEP 1.
Perform a system test.

Make sure to do the required system test and exam simulation before exam day.*

Please conduct the system check with the exact same technical environment as during the exam (same room, same Internet connection, same devices)!

Find your testing space.

Find a quiet, distraction-free area in your home or office to take your exam.

Get your ID ready.

Your ID must be valid and up to date. Does your program have specific ID policies?

On The Day Of Your Exam

Disconnect any additional monitors and be sure to close all other open applications. Don't forget to perform the system test, too!

STEP 3. Check-in for your exam

You will have to show your environment to the proctor and will not be able to start the exam if there are additional devices, books or other forbidden aids that can help you during the exam.

Internet Connection

Where possible, we recommend testing on a wired network as opposed to a wireless network.

If testing from home, ask others within the household to avoid Internet use during your exam session.

Tethering to a mobile hotspot is explicitly prohibited.

Display

Required minimum resolution: 1024×768 in 16-bit color.

Additional monitors are forbidden.

Sound & Microphone
Verify the audio and microphone are not set on mute.

Power
Ensure you are connected to a power source before starting your exam to avoid draining your battery during the exam.

Testing environment

Make sure you your testing environment meets the requirements of your exam provider/vendor.

Below are the expectations for an acceptable testing environment:

Get your ID ready

All of the exam vendors require an identification in the day of your exam. Some of them require just one primary ID (non-expired and including photograph and signature). Some of the exam vendors require a secondary ID (non-expired and including signature with candidate name in Latin characters).

Note – you can always present 2 forms of primary ID if you don't have secondary ID.

Primary ID

Secondary ID
(signature, not expired and including signature with candidate name in Latin characters)
