Course Description
This certification course forms a base for a today's key qualification in the business analysis field. The acquired knowledge assures a proficiency in definitions and background about business processes modeling and improving, collecting, and analyzing requirements, designing business solutions, and working in the area of innovation. The main focus of the Foundation level certification is put on common rules and standards used in business analysis. An additionally topic is the innovation and design as one of major means of building competitive advantage. This course prepares participants for the IQQBA Certified Foundation Level Business Analyst exam.

Who is this course for?
This course is designed for people involved in analyzing business processes within an organization, modeling businesses and process improvement: business and system analysts, requirements engineers, product owners and product managers, innovators, product designers, process optimization professionals.

Prerequisites:
This course does not require any experience in the business analysis field. A basic experience in solution concept, design or development will be an advantage. This course is suitable for both novices and experienced people who need to have a clear and systematic approach to Business Analysis. Experience in programming or working on IT projects is beneficial, but not required.

Metodi Mladenov Senior Business Analyst

Metodi Mladenov is a Senior Business Analyst in A1 (former Mobiltel) with experience in the field since 2013. Having obtained his Master's degree in Business Analysis in Sweden, Metodi has worked as a business analyst in various IT and telecommunication projects in Bulgaria as well as abroad.

He has participated in all stages of business analysis process and has successfully implemented various techniques. He has been using ULM in process mapping, User Stories, Use cases, Mockups, User interviews, workshops etc. He has took a part in solution design phase – validate and approve design documents, organizing user acceptance tests and continuous improvement through providing monitoring activities during post implementation period.

He is ITIL® Foundation certified and has strong knowledge about Process Management.

In his trainings, he gives many practical examples and leads discussions that are beneficial to the students with respect to applying their knowledge into their work process.

Maria Todorova

Maria Todorova Group Product Owner

Maria has over 24 years of IT experience and over 20 years of business analysis experience.

She was one of the first Certified Business Analysis Professionals (CBAP®) in Bulgaria. She is experienced Business Analyst and Product Owner with a demonstrated history of working in the field of Finance, Banking, e-Government, Medicine, European Institutions, Museums. Her strengths are in Business Processes, Requirements Elicitation, Requirements Analysis, Modelling and Agile Methodologies. Since 2019 she delivers business analysis trainings and consulting for customers of New Horizons Bulgaria. Subject taught are: BA01 - Business Analysis Essentials, BA02 - Strategic Business Analysis, BA03 - Writing Effective Business Cases, BA04 - Eliciting and Writing Effective Requirements, BA05 - Process Modeling Using BPMN. Her overall instructor rating is 9.79, while worldwide instructor benchmark is 9.44 (where 10 is max).

Maria was involved in developing of Grant management system for The EEA Grants and Norway Grants – represent the contribution of Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway to reducing economic and social disparities and to strengthening bilateral relations with 15 EU countries in Central and Southern Europe and the Baltics. Her main assignments include user requirements analysis for: document management, contact register, workflow automation and task management, user management, role and permissions management, data migration and Self-service data analysis.

Being a part of various projects Maria did business analysis work, which include: user requirements analysis, individual stakeholder analysis, business process modeling, ontology modelling, business process reengineering, UML diagrams, workflows, data analysis and migration, usability testing, user acceptance testing, user training.
