Course Description
Python is an open-source programming language, used extensively in web development, testing & automation, data analytics, machine learning, and robotics. Due to its power, simplicity, and complete object model, Python has become the scripting language of choice for many large organizations, including Google, Yahoo, and IBM. In this course you will have hands-on exercises that leads the student through the basics of writing and running Python programs.

The course is aimed at students with some programming experience, but new to the language who may or may not have experience with other programming languages.


What will you learn?
Throughout the course students will be led through a series of progressively advanced topics, where each topic consists of lecture, group discussion, comprehensive hands-on lab exercises, lab review and short tests on the current topic. This course is „skills-centric“, designed to train attendees in core Python skills. Working within in an engaging, hands-on learning environment, guided by our expert Python practitioner, students will learn to:
  • use the standard Python data types appropriately;
  • work with conditional statements and loops;
  • encapsulate functionality into functions and classes;
  • write robust code using exception handling;
  • read and write files with both text and binary data;
  • use modules and packages from the standard library.
